Solar Collector is the heart of any solar energy collection system designed for operation in the low temperature range (ambient – 60° C) or in the medium temperature range (ambient – 100° C). It is used to absorb solar energy, convert it into heat and then transfers that heat to a stream of liquid or gas. It absorbs both the beam and the diffuse radiation and is usually planted on the top of building or other structures. It does not require tracking of the sun and requires little maintenance.
In the present work we have designed a multipurpose solar collector which is used for domestic use that is in cooking, water heating, candle making etc.
In this process the cost involved while establishing this device and no recurring cost is involved in the operation because solar energy is available in abundant on the earth surface during day time. On the basis of study it seems that device will work successfully n multipurpose domestic use
