In the present work, K-shell ionization cross-sections of Chlorine and Argon due to alpha impact have been calculated through the Binary Encounter Approximation model. The effects of Coulomb deflection of the projectile under the influence of target nucleusand increase in binding energy of the target electron because of presence of the projectile inside K-shell of the target have been incorporated. The cross-sections have been averaged over Hartree-Fock momentum distribution for the target electron. The calculated cross-sections have been found in satisfactory agreement with the available experimental values and other calculated results.
