Proton, He+ and He2+ ion impact electron capture from Na Atom

Abstract

Cross-Sections for single electron capture by protons He+ and He2+ ions from Na atoms have been calculated in the Modified Binary Encounter Approximation. The Hartree -Fock velocity distribution has been taken into account throughout the calculations. The angular divergence factor has also been considered. The present calculations have fairly good agreement with the experimental observations.
