Mathematical model for the secretion of gnrh in beef cows by using extended reliability growth model.

Abstract

Luteinizing hormone (LH) concentrations were measured in suckled beef cows treated during the postpartum period with Prostaglandin F20 (5 mg alfaprosol PGF20) and then gonadotropin releasing hormone, the objective was to determine in PGF20 would cause a release of LH in the absence of progesterone and after the GnRH induced LH release and ovulation. Cows that had a normal luteal phase had a greater mean area under GnRH induced LH response curves and a greater mean GnRH induced LH peak amplitude than cows that had subnormal luteal phases. Categorized data were analyzed by reliability growth models, Area under the response curve determined mathematically and GnRH induced peak amplitude were analyzed by Reliability Growth Model
