The recombinant DNA technology was only an idea that desirable qualities in live bodies may be improved by manipulating the expression of target genes. However, in recent years, this field has made significant contributions to human progress. This technology allows for the safe, affordable, and sufficient production of critical proteins for health problems and dietary purposes. This technique has broad applications and the ability to improve vital areas of life, such as health, food resources, and resistance to diverse unfavorable environmental effects. Genetically engineered plants, particularly in agriculture, have boosted resistance to hazardous agents, increased product yield, and demonstrated increased adaptation for better survival. Furthermore, recombinant medications are increasingly being used with confidence, with commercial approvals coming quickly. Techniques such as recombinant DNA technology, gene therapy, and genetic changes are also commonly employed in bioremediation and the treatment of serious diseases. Because of the enormous advancement and wide range of applications in the field of recombinant DNA technology, this review article focuses primarily on its significance and potential applications in daily life. Gene cloning, molecular probes, and chimeric DNA are examples of tools. Genomic libraries will be employed in the future to create recombinant DNA for crop enhancement.
