Imbibed seeds of Cicer arietinum cv-c-235 and H-208 with 2.5x10−5 M of zinc sulphate (Zn) and Lead acetate (Pb) exhibited variable changes in enzyme activities i.e. stimulation in amylase activity in seeds of cv H-208 and inhibition in protease activity in seeds of cv c-235, whereas insignificant changes were noted in level of protein N, soluble N and total heavy metal in seeds of both cvs.
