Xylanase and cellulase are the key enzymes used for degradation of lignocellulosic materials and have applications in different industries. There are abundance of microorganisms producing these enzymes in nature. In this study a total 32 fungal strains have been isolated from different sites. Out of 32, five strains have been selected producing higher xylanase as well as cellulase enzyme production. The fungal strain C. cinerea RM-1 shows the highest activity of xylanase (345 IU/mL) and moderate activity of cellulase (1.65 IU/mL)
