The present study was conducted at Central Research Potato Institute Campus, Modipuram, India to assess the effect of gibberellic acid (GA3) and á-naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) on in vitro microplants development in two potato varieties Kufri Bahar and Kufri Surya. The higher concentration of GA3 and NAA in combination (0.4 mg/l+0.04 mg/l) showed a decrease in parameters like number of leaves, number of nodes, internode length, shoot length and root length. The concentration of GA3+NAA (0.05mg/l+0.005 mg/l and 0.1mg/l+0.01 mg/l) led to increase in all parameters as compared to control and GA3+NAA (0.1mg/l+0.02mg/l and 0.2mg/l+0.02mg/l) treatments in both the varieties but GA3+NAA at (0.2 mg/l+0.01mg/l) concentration gave best results for number of leaves, number of nodes, internode length, shoot length and root length. Result showed that the concentration of GA3+NAA (0.05mg/l+0.005 mg/l +0.1mg/l+0.01 mg/l) is best for development of complete plantlets.
