Despite the tremendous progress in human medicine, infectious diseases caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasites are still a major threat to public health. The increases in microbial resistance have created the necessity for studies directed towards the development of new antimicrobials compounds. An amide Terephthalamide has been synthesized from nonbiodegradable PET waste and assayed for its biocidal activity against various multi drug resistive microbes. The studies were done to utilize novel amide in pharmacological area either as such or by emphasizing its antimicrobial activity by complexation with other pronounced compounds. In these studies, advanced compounds were shown to have potent in vitro activity against some of the selected pathogens, while with other it increase resistivity on complexation.
