Abstract

Present study focused on the bio-synthesis of silver nanoparticles and their antimicrobial activity against phytopathogenic fungi. Four plants viz., Chenopodium album (Jungli Bathua), Mesua ferrea (Nagkesar), Syzygium cumini (Jamun), Cassia fistula(Amaltas) were used to get extraction and used to prepare nano particles and their antimicrobial activity was checked against following fungiAlternaria, Excrotium and Fusarium oxysporum. After preparation of bio-nano-particles, their absorbance was recorded. Different fungi was isolated from different sources by serial dilution, culture was identified and preserved. Dry plant materials were dipped in double distilled water and extraction from all plant powder was prepared and then silver bio-nano particles were prepared. These silver bio-nano particles were tested against different phytopathogenic fungi. The main aim of the study is to protect agricultural crops from phytopathogenic fungi for sustainable development.
