Abstract

The field experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of foliar application of micronutrients viz. zinc, boron and copper in single and in different combinations on guava (Psidium guajava L.) cv. Lalit for chemical quality parameters at Horticultural Research Centre of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Modipuram, Meerut (U.P.) in India during year 2018–19. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design having eight treatments with three replications. The maximum total sugar (6.64%), reducing sugar (3.53%), total soluble solids (11.21°Brix) and ascorbic acid (204.67 mg/100 gm pulp) were found in treatment T8 (Zinc sulphate 1.0% + Borax 1.0% + Copper sulphate 1.0%) whereas the minimum values of above mentioned characters were observed in T1 (control). The maximum non-reducing sugar (3.23%) was observed in the treatment T7 (copper sulphate (1.0%) + Borax (1.0%)) and it was minimum in T1 (Control). The minimum acidity (0.37%) was recorded in T8 (Zinc sulphate 1.0% + Borax 1.0% + Copper sulphate 1.0%) whereas the maximum value of acidity (0.52%) was observed in T1 (control).
