Cyber-crimes- Trends and Awareness: A study on Youth

The world is going through a technological transformation with various emerging technologies and automated processes generated by Industry 4.0. Along with such technological evolutions, cybercrimes are also increasing, which constantly threatens the users of tools and technologies. Cybercriminals are so smartly introducing new ways of trapping innocent online users in such a way that they cannot be chased after doing a crime over the Internet. And the level of crime and damage is increasing day by day. One of the ways to get rid of this severity of cybercrimes is to make the users aware of the methods through which they can be cheated or face any damage. This research work is an effort in order to get an overview of cyber crimes awareness among Internet users. The use of the Internet has become a lifestyle today. Hence, awareness of cybercrime will have to be part of everyone’s life’s necessity. This paper is an effort to understand how much the Internet users of multiple age groups are aware of cyber-crimes for which a questionnaire survey was conducted.
