Abstract

A field experiment was carried out during kharif season of 2005–2006 at Sardarkrushinagar, Gujarat to study the effect of different weed control treatments on groundnut (Arachis hypogea L.). Preemergence application of pendimethalin (1.0 kg ha−1) effectively controlled weeds and provided higher yield and net return. Application of quizalofop-p-ethyl (200 g ha−1) at 30 days after sowing was also effective in controlling weeds in groundnut.
