Empowerment of women through developing entrepreneurship not only determines status of women but also has positive influence on family and community. This concept evolved and found expression in the objectives of study which emphasized the role of training in empowering the women entrepreneurs. 200 women entrepreneurs engaged in household enterprises such as ‘Papad Making ’, ‘Vadi Making ’, ‘Churan Making ’and ‘Supari Making ’were selected randomly of Bikaner district of. The study revealed the profile of the women entrepreneurs including their personal and financial profile of the respondents. Regarding the role of training in strengthening women entrepreneurship, it was found that yet not many women had attended training programme either before or after starting the enterprises but most of the respondents considered that trainings are needed for fruitful entrepreneurial activities, emphasizing its usefulness. They further recommended that lack of awareness about these training programmes is the major hindrance in attending these programmes.
