A field experiment was conducted in organic field at Kanpur on sandy clay loam soil during kharif 2014 under organic farming to assess the response of greengram ([Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek]) to organic sources of nutrients in central Uttar Pradesh. The experiment comprised of 10 treatments of various organic nutrient management practices (organic and fermented liquid manures) including absolute control were assigned in randomized block design with three replications. The results revealed that application of FYM @ 2.5 t ha-1 + vermicompost @ 1.0 t ha-1 + panchgavya blended with neem leaf extract-NLE + beejamruta + jeevamruta + bio-fertilizer (T10) recorded significant improvement in growth parameters viz., dry matter accumulation, nodulation plant-1 and branches plant-1; yield attributes viz., pods plant-1, seeds pod-1, seeds weight plant-1 and 1000- seeds weight of greengram being at par with T9 (T10 excluding application of bio-fertilizers) and T8 (T10excluding application of panchgavya blended with NLE and biofertilizers) when compared with rest of the treatments. The seed yield recorded significantly higher with treatment T10, followed by T9and T8, respectively. The absolute control treatment recorded the lowest values of growth parameters, yield attributes, seed yield as well as gross and net returns. Scrutiny of results further revealed that treatment T10, T9, and T8 established its superiority over rest of the organic practices when judged in terms of seed yield which resulted in 87.91, 78.56 and 64.13% higher seed yield over the absolute control plot, respectively. Treatment T10 fetched significantly higher gross (1 53212 ha-1) and net return (1 27037 ha-1), followed by T9 and T8 with significant differences to each other. Thus, combination of all organics viz., FYM, vermicompost, liquid organics and bio-fertilizers was found highly productive and profitable and can be included in organic nutrient management practices for greengram cultivation by the organic growers of central Uttar Pradesh.
