Abstract

Permeability plays dominant role in the productive ecosystem. Soil and air permeability determines the key processes occurring within the soil. Solute transport, water dynamics and nutrient flows were significantly affected by this permeability. The mechanism attributes to the role of ecosystem on productivity index. Quantification of such process was thus highly required in any landscape. Compaction and other associated soil phenomenon positively influenced the soil and air permeability. The present work both qualitatively and quantitatively measured the soil and air permeability and its role in productive potential.
