A field experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2020-21 at Instructional Farm of Bhagwant university, Ajmer, Rajasthan to evaluate the performance of organic and inorganic fertilizers on growth and yield of chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.). There were 10 treatment combinations assigned in randomized block design with three replications. Combination of organics and inorganics improved significantly growth parameters, yield attributes and yield of chickpea over the control and farmers practice. Application of 75% RDF + FYM 2.5 t ha-1 + vermicompost 1.0 t ha-1 recorded significantly higher growth parameters viz., plant height (35 cm), primary branches plant-1 (6.83), dry matter accumulation (29.72 g plant-1), yield attributes such as pods plant-1 (59) and 100-seed weight (14.45 g) and seed yield (2950 kg ha-1) over the control and farmer’s practice. The least vales were recorded under the control treatment where no fertilizer was used,
