Land is important natural resource, which supports evolution and development of all types of lives on land. Land plays the key important role in the determination of man’s economic and cultural progress. The present study was conducted in Udaipur district of Rajasthan, India. Udaipur district consists of total seventeen panchayat samities out of which Girwa was selected purposively. Ten revenue villages were selected based on highest population and total 150 respondents were selected from every village through proportionate random sampling. Data revealed that application of FYM (86.00 Mean Percent Score-MPS) was perceived with high intensity among the respondents, followed by regular application of NPK (82.67 MPS) and application of recommended fertilizer doses with 53.78 MPS which were perceived as the least prioritized practices applied by the respondents to maintain soil fertility. Watering the crop as per recommendations (77.11 MPS) was perceived with high priority by respondents, followed by availability of irrigation water at critical stages of crops (74.22 MPS), and testing of irrigation water with 48.22 MPS were perceived as the least applied practices by the respondents to maintain irrigation index. Soil preparation (81.78 MPS) maintenance of trace elements (52.89 MPS) were highest and least adopted aspects, respectively, in relation to scientific soil use, However, practising proper crop rotation (74.00 MPS) was perceived with highest intensity and cultivation of cash crops with 51.33MPS was as the least adopted practices regarding crop intensity index by the respondents.
