Present experiment was conducted on Research farm of Agricultural Research Station (ARS), Badnapur, during kharif 2022–23 in which six insecticides were evaluated against major pests of pigeon pea. Amongst the six insecticidal treatments evaluated, the treatment of chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC 3 ml/10 lit. (2.11 larvae per plant) was significantly superior which recorded lowest population of H. armigera, followed by the treatment indoxacarb 14.5 SC @ 8 ml/10 lit. (3.44 larvae per plant). Similarly, the treatment chlorantraniliprole 18.5SC @ 3 ml/10 lit. (2.33 webs per plant) was recorded significantly lowermost population of Maruca vitrata, which was followed by treatment flubendiamide 480 SC @ 2 ml/10 lit. (3.00 webs per plant). The lowest per cent of pod damage because of pod borer (H. armigera) and pod fly (M. obtusa) was recorded on treatment chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC 3 ml/10 lit. (4.33% pod damage) and (3.33% pod damage), respectively. The lowest grain damage because of pod borer and pod fly was recorded on treatment chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @ 3 ml/10 lit. (1.62% and (1.87% grain damage, respectively). The significantly highest grain yield on pigeon pea was recorded in treatment chlorantraniliprole 18.5 SC @ 3 ml/10 lit. (1639 kg/ha), followed by the treatment indoxacarb 14.5 SC @ 8 ml/10 lit. (1538 kg/ha), flubendiamide 480 SC @ 2 ml/10 lit. (1433 kg/ha).
