An experiment was conducted to assess the effect of INM on quality and NPK content of vegetable amaranth. There were nine treatment combinations comprising of three levels of inorganic fertilizer (100% RDN, 80% RDN and 60% RDN) and three levels of organic fertilizer (Vermicompost @ 1 t ha−1, bio-compost @ 5 t ha−1 and FYM @ 5 t ha−1) laid out in a randomized block design (Factorial concept) with three replications. The protein content, calcium content and iron content in leaf were noted maximum with separate application of 100% RDN and bio-compost @ 5 t ha−1. However, lower nitrate content and oxalic acid content in single treatment of 60% RDN and FYM @ 5 t ha−1. Maximum N, P and K content and N, P and K uptake by plant as well as available N, P2O5 and K2O was recorded in treatment separate application of 100% RDN and bio-compost @ 5 t ha−1. The interaction of inorganic fertilizer and organic fertilizer did not exhibited significant effect.
