Abstract

Effect of cattle (Bovine sp.) urine with extracts of three indigenous plants against Myzus presicae (Sulzer) was studied during 2008 and 2009 at laboratory and polyhouse conditions. The extracts of neem (Azadirachta indica L.) and ratna jayot (Jatropha curcas L.) at 5% gave 93.33 and 73.33 per cent mortality, followed by ritha (Sapindus mukorossi L.) which gave 46.67 per cent mortality at 5% concentration after 72 hours exposure. All the extracts were effective in reducing the population of M.persicae in polyhouse @ 10% after 7 day of treatment. Neem extract was most effective to control aphid population.
