Controlling weed with isoproturon for enhancing yield of isabgol (Plantago ovata)
Abstract
A field experiment was conducted during rabi 2004–05 at S.D. Agricultural University, Sardarkrushinagar to study the effect of different weed control treatments on isabgol. Pre-emergence application of isoproturon @ 0.5 kg a.i. ha−1 effectively controlled the weeds and produced higher yield attributes, seed and straw yield and higher net income and recorded higher weed control efficiency and lower weed index.
