A field experiment was carried out during the winter season of 2006–07 at R.B.S. College, Bichpuri, Agra, Uttar Pradesh to study the response of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea L. czernj & cosson.) varieties to varying fertility levels with saline water irrigation. Yield attributes and seed yield increased significantly with variety ‘Kranti’, closely followed by ‘CS-61’. Variety ‘Kranti’ gave 2.60, 7.48, 13.67 and 22.48% higher seed yield over ‘CS-61’, ‘SAL-9’, ‘CS-52’ and ‘SAL-7’, respectively. The 100% recommended dose of fertilizer (RDF) enhanced seed yield of Indian mustard by 25.0% over 75% RDF. The incremental increase in RDF over 100% did not affect the seed yield significantly.
