The present investigation was undertaken during 2007–08 to study the effect of different levels of R. dominica infestation on deterioration of wheat seeds under laboratory condition. Population count and per cent seed infestation were directly proportional to the level of R. dominica infestation. Beyond twopairs there was significant reduction in germination and 34.5 per cent germination was recorded at 8 pairs of lesser grain borer level.
