Abstract

A field experiment was carried out during kharif 2006 at Sardarkrushinagar, Gujarat to study the effect of phosphorus, sulphur and inoculation of phosphobacter on yield and quality of clusterbean (Cyamopsis tetragonaloba) cv. ‘GG-1’. Seed inoculation with phosphate solubilizing microorganisms before sowing and application of phosphorus and sulphur both @ 40 kg ha−1 produced higher growth parameters, protein and gum content, seed and stalk yields and earned more net returns and benefit: cost ratio under loamy sand soil of North Gujarat.
