Abstract

Impact of sugar factory effluent on photosynthetic parameters of Cicer arietinum and Trigonella foenumgraecum were studied. Lower concentration of effluent i.e., up to 10% increased photosynthetic parameters, viz. chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b and carotenoids contents in both the crops. The higher concentration causes inhibition of these photosynthates and this effluent causes detrimental for seed germination. The application of effluent up to 10% concentration was beneficial for protein contents.
