A field experiment was carried out at Raipur during kharif season of 2010. Urdbean (Phaseolus mungo L.) variety Azad−1 recorded highest SPAD value (chlorophyll content), number of flowers, number of pods and seeds plant−1, seed and stover yield, protein content, NPK content and uptake. As regards to different agro-input management practices, application of 100% RDF + FYM @ 5 t ha−1 + NAA 40 ppm + PSB + DAP 2% recorded significantly highest value of important growth attributes, yield attributes and yields. Protein content, NPK content and uptake were also significantly higher under the same treatment. The maximum net return ( 19010 ha−1), net return rupee−1 invested (1.56), energy output: input ratio (6.66) and energy use efficiency (5.08) were obtained from Azad−1 variety of urdbean. Similarly, the maximum net return ( 23322 ha−1), net return rupee−1 invested (1.79), energy output: input ratio (7.13) and energy use efficiency (5.42) were obtained from the application of 100% RDF + FYM @ 5 t ha−1 + NAA 40 ppm + PSB + DAP 2%.
