Abstract

An experiment was carried out during 2008 at Dr. Y.S. Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan (Himachal Pradesh) to see the effect of foliar application of zinc and boron on fruit set, yield and quality of pomegranate cv. ‘Kandhari Kabuli ’. Foliar application, of zinc (0.5%) and boron (0.2%) in combination was the most effective in minimising flower drop, fruit cracking and increased fruit set, yield, fruit size, fruit weight and fruit quality, viz. juice contents, tritable acidity, TSS and TSS acid ratio in pomegranate.
