The study was conducted with 150 tribal farmers who were selected randomly from 3 blocks of Bastar district of Chhattisgarh state during 2009 to assess the level of knowledge and extent of adoption regarding recommended finger millet production technology. The majority of the respondents had medium level of knowledge (66.67%) and adoption rate (72%) of the production technology. 30% of farmers had high level of knowledge towards selection of land, while maximum number of the respondents (48.7%)
