Abstract

An experiment was conducted at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh during 2009–10 and 2010–11 to study the response of various nutrients on growth and yield of strawberry (cv. Chandler). Application of integrated sources of nutrients significantly affected vegetative growth of the plant. Maximum growth in terms of plant height, number of leaves plant−1, length of leaves, width of leaves and plant spread were recorded in the treatment receiving Azotobactor (50%) + Azospirillum (50%) + NPK (50%) + FYM, while the highest yield (287.04 g plant−1) was recorded in treatment T8 [Azotobactor (50%) + Azospirillum (50%) + NPK (50%)], followed by dual inoculation of biofertilizers along with organic manure in treatment T11.
