Abstract

A field experiment was carried out at Raipur, Chhattisgarh during kharif season of 2011 to assess the effect of customized fertilizer on growth and yield of rice (Oryza sativa L.). Amongst the different doses of customized fertilizer (CF) and other nutrient management practices, application of 150% dose of CF in rice recorded the highest growth, yield attributing characters, grain yield (6.9 t ha−1), net return (` 51677 ha−1) and B: C ratio (1.80). Application of 125% dose of CF and 100% dose of CF also proved superior over other doses of CF and other nutrient management practices for yield (6.3 t ha−1 and 5.9 t ha−1), net return (` 45187 ha−1 and ` 42662 ha−1) and B: C ratio (1.66 and 1.62), respectively. However, RDF + 5 t FYM produced good result as compared with other treatment; it gave 5.7 t ha−1 grain yield and net return ` 40286 ha−1.
