A field experiment was carried out during the kharif season 2011 at Agronomy Farm, College of Agriculture, Nagpur to study the bio-efficacy of new post-emergence herbicides, viz. quizalofop-p-tefuryl and imazethapyr in soybean (Glycine max L. Merill). Results revealed that imazethapyr @ 75 g a.i. ha−1 at 15 days after sowing (DAS) supplemented with one hoeing at 30 DAS proved comparable to one hand weeding at 30 DAS + one hoeing at 45 DAS in controlling weeds and increasing seed yield of soybean.
Herbicides, Imazethapyr, Quizalofop-P-Tefuryl, Soybean, Weed Control
