The experiment was conducted at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh during kharif 2012 to evaluate the effect of boron on yield and protein content of mungbean (Vigna radiata L.) variety ‘K 851’. The highest yield attributes, viz. pods plant−1, seeds pod−1 and 1000-seed weight was recorded in boron 0.2% foliar spray, followed by application of boron 10 kg ha−1 at flowering, while the lowest was in the control. This treatment also registered the highest yields plant−1 than other treatments. The highest protein content (25.23%) was recorded with 0.2% foliar spray of boron, which was at par with boron 0.1% foliar spray (25.03%).
