Adiagnostic study was conducted in Nalgonda district of Andhra Pradesh with a sample size of 675 dairy farmers belonging to 27 villages. There was a 180.7% increase in knowledge of the dairy farmers after exposure to training programme. There was a 96.7% change in the attitude of farmers who underwent trainings on scientific dairy farming practices. Combination of different teaching methods (TV + charts and posters + lecture method + exposure visit) was effective in imparting knowledge to the dairy farmers. The trainings formulated based on the needs of the farmersrevealed a positive indication of adoption of scientific dairy farming practices.
