A field experiments was conducted during kharif season of 2011 at Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India, to find out the effect of integrated nutrient management on sented rice. The results revealed that application of 100% recommended dose of nitrogen(RDN) + 30 kg S ha−1 + 5 kg Znha−1(T4) recorded highest grain (4750 kg ha−1) and straw yield (7790 kg ha1), which resulted in 71.2 and 65% higher grain and straw yield, respectively, over the absolute control. Substitution of 25% N through FYM along with S (30 kg ha−1) and Zn(5 kgha−1) (T8) produced atpar grain(4540 kg ha−1) and straw yield (7490 kg ha−1) to that of T4. Supplementation of 30kg S ha−1 with 100%RDN produced 11.9 and 11.6% higher grain and straw yield to that of 100% RDN alone. Similarly, application of 5 kg Zn ha−1 along with 100% RDN + 30 kg S ha−1 gave 7.5 and 6.8% more grain and straw yield over the plot receiving 100%RDN + 30kg S ha−1, respectively. Results further revealed that significantly higher N,P,K,S and Zn uptake was recorded with 100% RDN + 30 kg S ha−1 + 5 kg Zn ha−1, closely followed by 75% RDN + 25% N through FYM + 30 kg S ha−1 + 5 kg Zn ha−1 (T8) over the rest of the treatments.
