Ensuring the speedier dissemination of farm technologies: Why and How !

The very genesis of farm extension services envisages for transferring the usable agricultural production and home management related information to the intended clients. However, the prevailing dynamism in national and global level farm production system, the tenets of extension education also adjusted itself accordingly. The article highlights the dynamism of agricultural extension systems happening across the globe. Accordingly, how Indian agricultural extension system was experimented to evolve the most appropriate paradigms have been discussed. The frontline extension system and field extension systems’ adaptation strategies have also been detailed herein. Lastly, the article highlights couple of such successful experimentations done at premier institute of the country which successfully executed the faster dissemination of farm technologies to the remotely located farmers in India.
