'Public Garden’ refers to those garden areas that conceive myriad plant collections for public gratification, knowledge-based education, and a locus of biodiversity conservation. Adoption of green infrastructure descends from ancient times, but the modern urbanization trend to accommodate large populations tends towards green climate gentrification. Against this backdrop, the overarching goals are to shed light on how public gardens could be a viable climate change hazard mitigation option and analyze various recent built-environment interventions adopted in non-agriculture-based rural cities of India using urban gardening to increase the socioeconomic systems' climate change resilience. There is a deficit in public awareness and understanding of climate information and governance systems, including technical knowledge. This review compiles the brief knowledge on the urban gardening approach that climate change programs to legalize the green infrastructure implementation to alleviate climate change and its impacts; socio-political understanding is also equally imperative.
