Effect of foliar application of Ca, Zn, Fe and B on growth, yield and quality of papaya (Carica papaya) cv. Taiwan Red Lady

The field experiment was conducted to find effect of foliar application of Ca, Zn, Fe and B on growth, yield and quality of papaya (Carica papaya L.) cv. Taiwan Red Lady at Regional Horticultural Research Station, ASPEE College of Horticulture and Forestry, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari, during 2008–11 with eleven different treatments. The foliar application of calcium nitrate 1000 mg/l + borax 30 mg/l + zinc sulphate 200 mg/l + ferrous sulphate 200 mg/l (T₁₀) was followed 60, 90 and 120 days after planting. The plant height, stem girth as well as leaf area with total yield and quality parameters were studied. Borax 30 mg/l was relieved earliness in initiation of flowering (days) of papaya cv. Taiwan Red Lady.
