A study was conducted to know the extent of variability and character association among various floral traits and their effect on yield in wheat and it was observed that anther extrusion had maximum coefficient of variation. CPAN 1990, CPAN 1992, CPAN 3046, CPAN 3050 and CPAN 4104 were promising for three or more characters and these can be used as donors in order to generate parental lines for hybrid development programme. Yield/plant had shown significantly high association with anther length, stigma length, anther extrusion and duration of floral opening. Among these traits, anther length, pollen viability and anther extrusion had contributed directly for high association with yield.
