Inheritance of resistance to anthracnose of blackgram caused by Colletotrichum truncatum was studied in crosses of blackgram involving resistant and susceptible parents. The observations on F1, F2 and backcross populations of two crosses DPU 88-5 X UL 338 and DPU 88-1 X UL 338 implicated that resistance to anthracnose is controlled by a single dominant gene pair. No maternal inheritance was involved.
