One hundred and twenty germplasm accessions of cowpea (V. unguiculata L. Walp.) were evaluated for eight characters viz., days to flowering, number of grains per pod, number of pods per plant, pod length, harvest index, grain yield per plant and crude protein content of grains during kharif 2005 and kharif 2006. The D2 analysis over two years. The higher yielding genotypes were not grouped with the clusters containing multiple genotypes. The number of pods per plant contributed maximum towards genetic divergenece followed by 100-grain weight, days to flowering and harvest index.
