Ten genotypes of field pea developed from five single crosses, one double cross and four triple crosses were tested at Hawalbagh farm located in mid-altitudes of North-West Himalayas, to identify stable characters as well as to understand the contribution of various traits towards yield. Seed yield was positively associated with pod length and negatively associated with seed filling period, days to flower and maturity. Pods per plant, seeds per pod and pod length are important characters which are least influenced by the climatic condition of mid-altitudes over years.
