Abstract

The present study was undertaken to identify the stable genotypes of soybean with respect to grain yield and its component traits. The analysis of variance revealed highly significant differences due to genotypes, environments and genotype x environment interaction for all the traits. Significant environment (linear) variances were observed for all the characters. G x E (linear) variances were highly significant for seed yield, pod number per plant and harvest index. Genotype PK 416 showed stability for early maturity. For seed yield per plant genotypes PK 416 and SL 295 were observed to be stable.
