Vocational education is not only an integral component of Indian education system but also a key component for improving the scope of employability. Work presented here represents an evaluative study of the response of the graduating students enrolled in vocational education courses in the provincialized degree colleges of Nagaon and Morigaon district of Assam, for such courses. Evaluations of the study are based on the data collected from nine different colleges of these two districts where several vocational courses are introduced. Scope of employability of such course is also evaluated based on the view obtained from respective students. Descriptive survey method has been employed for the work presented. Several of these courses obtained better response from students and employability of such courses are also better, although other courses yet to receive adequate popularity. Introduction of appropriate vocational courses based on the location and local environment will definitely yield encouraging results from such initiatives.
