Abstract

In the present complex society, occupational aspiration with proper care has become more and more relevant. But from general observation, it is seen that many students fail to select an occupation properly, because of which subsequent course of their academic life gets affected. That is why, the investigator felt to make an attempt to assess the occupational aspiration of secondary school students in relation to their school facilities. For that Occupational Aspiration Scale developed by J. S. Grewal (1973) and self standardized Questionnaire were administered to a sample of 250 secondary school students from Lakhimpur district of Assam and for which statistical hypotheses were framed and tested through t-test and correlation. The main finding of the study is that there exists significant relationship of occupational aspiration and school facilities of secondary school students.
