Ganoderma is one of the largest genus of the order Hymenomycetes with more than 300 species. Most of the species of Ganoderma are root parasite and active decayer of economically important timber yielding plants of the forest. Nameri National Park is one of the richest floristic areas with wide range of ecosystem support high species diversity and provide ideal habitat for different species of wood rotting fungi including Ganoderma. The present communication describes the occurrences of 3 different varieties of Ganoderma lucidum, along with the other 4 species of Ganoderma namely Ganoderma applanatum, Ganoderma recinacem, Ganoderma tsugae and Ganoderma multiplicatum from different woodland of Nameri National Park.
