Oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone has been carried out in the presence of manganate, chromate and metal cation exchanged clays, dried at 100°C. Effect of amount of modified clays and the reaction time on the yield of cyclohexanone has been investigated. The activity of the clays after regeneration has also been studied.
