Augmented reality is an amazing and emerging technology. Augmented Reality(AR) works by superimposing digital information onto real-world objects to create a 3 Dimensional experience that allows users to interact with both the physical and virtual worlds. AR technology is used in various fields. The investigator has studied the AR technology regarding the library application. The ARloopa, AR Book LibrARY, and Google Lens have been studied. The ARloopa app provides augmented content as well as the user can make their own augmented content for commercial and educational purposes. AR Book LibrARY provides the augmented book in online and offline modes. Google Lens is also freely available for Android. The investigator has presented a comparative study of these apps. Through these apps, the library can provide augmented multimedia services.
