Many changes took place in Marathi Literature after 1960. Marathi literature after 1960 is considered to be literature that truly depicts the lives of the marginalized and effectively expresses the pain of the marginalized. Many Ideologies or currents like Dalit, Rural, Tribal, Democratic, Christian, Muslim, feminist were created in Marathi literature, due to which Marathi literature became more enriched. The feminist literature has given Marathi literature very profound and feminist literary works and has given new food to the literary taste here. Various women writers like female saints Mahadamba, Muktabai, Janabai and today’s Megha Pethe, Sania, Kavita Mahajan, Aasha Bagwe have made their important contribution to Marathi literature.
