On Friday, April 13, 1919, the British orchestrated the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar, in which thousands of innocent people were killed. Inspired by this, exactly 20 years later, on April 13, 1939, the establishment of the Lal Sena took place in Nagpur. The purpose of establishing the Lal Sena was to build a military force by gaining the trust of the Dalit and oppressed people and to organize a national assembly. The establishment of the Lal Sena received support from leaders such as Mr. Maganlal Bagdi, Mr. Shyamnarayan Kashmiri, Mr. Shamarav Shrivastav, Acharya V. S. Dandekar, Mr. Kisanlal Chaudhari, Adv. Bhaskarrao Chavare, Mr. Ramchandra Manchalvar, and others.
